Job Description

We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Director focused on Substrates and Chipcaps to identify new sources of supplies, and to develop and execute sourcing strategies relative to the specific commodity. Lead and develop a global team with rapidly growing spend and supplier base. Negotiating, and executing all aspects/terms of Capacity Reservation Agreements (CRA), Manufacturing Service Agreements (MSA), MOU’s, VMI agreements, etc. Manage AMD’s growing supply base by implementing Commodity Strategies and drive continuous supplier improvement through development of scorecard and KPI expectations. Influencing the supplier (or suppliers) in investments that meet AMD future requirements. Accountable for all aspects of supplier relationship management including all technical, commercial, delivery and quality.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive experience with Silicon/semiconductor package/technology commodity management

  • Adept at influencing decisions and developing solutions to complex business situations

  • Semiconductor experience with a technical understanding of Wafer Fabrication, Sort, Assembly, and Test processes

  • Demonstrated history of productive and successful interactions with a wide variety of internal stakeholders (technology, engineering, procurement, finance, costing, supply chain).
