  1. Develop and execute test plans to ensure the quality and reliability of AMD's products.
  2. Design and implement automated test procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy of testing.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and provide input on testability and design for test.
  4. Troubleshoot and debug issues in both hardware and software components of AMD's products.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in testing methodologies and incorporate them into the development process.
  6. Analyze test results, identify areas for improvement, and make recommendations for product enhancements.
  7. Lead and mentor junior team members in test development and best practices.
  8. Collaborate with external partners and vendors to ensure seamless integration of their components into AMD's products.
  9. Develop and maintain documentation related to test processes and procedures.
  10. Take ownership of testing schedules and deliverables, ensuring timely and high-quality results.
  11. Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes and procedures to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
  12. Adhere to industry standards and regulations in testing processes and procedures.
  13. Communicate effectively with team members and management to provide updates on testing progress and any issues encountered.
  14. Participate in design reviews and provide input on testability and potential issues.
  15. Contribute to the culture of innovation and excellence at AMD by providing creative solutions to challenging problems.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience In Software Development And Testing: A Senior Test Development Engineer At Amd Should Have A Strong Background In Software Development And Testing Methodologies. This Includes Knowledge Of Programming Languages Such As C++, Python, And Java, As Well As Experience With Testing Frameworks And Tools.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Computer Hardware: As Amd Primarily Produces Computer Processors And Graphics Cards, A Senior Test Development Engineer Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Computer Hardware Architecture And Design. This Includes Knowledge Of Microprocessor Architecture, Memory Systems, And System Interconnects.

  • Experience With Test Automation And Scripting: In Order To Efficiently Test Complex Hardware And Software Systems, A Senior Test Development Engineer Should Have Experience With Test Automation And Scripting. This Includes Knowledge Of Tools Such As Selenium, Junit, And Testng, As Well As Scripting Languages Like Bash And Perl.

  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills: As A Senior Test Development Engineer, One Must Be Able To Identify And Troubleshoot Complex Issues In Software And Hardware Systems. This Requires Strong Problem-Solving Skills, Critical Thinking Abilities, And The Ability To Work Well Under Pressure.

  • Excellent Communication And Teamwork Abilities: A Senior Test Development Engineer At Amd Will Often Work In A Team Environment, Collaborating With Developers, Designers, And Other Engineers. Therefore, Strong Communication Skills And The Ability To Work Well In A Team Are Essential For Success In This Role.
