  1. Develop and maintain physical verification methodologies for semiconductor products.
  2. Collaborate with design and layout teams to ensure designs meet physical verification requirements.
  3. Create and maintain PDKs (Process Design Kits) for use in design and verification of semiconductor products.
  4. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to physical verification and PDK development.
  5. Continuously improve processes and methodologies to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  6. Conduct thorough reviews and sign-offs for physical verification and PDK development.
  7. Stay updated on industry developments and trends in physical verification and PDK development.
  8. Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to provide support and address any issues that arise.
  9. Mentor and train junior engineers on physical verification and PDK development.
  10. Collaborate with external vendors to ensure timely delivery of PDKs and resolve any issues.
  11. Work closely with product teams to understand design requirements and provide solutions for physical verification challenges.
  12. Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to improve design quality.
  13. Ensure compliance with industry standards and company guidelines.
  14. Participate in the evaluation and selection of new tools and methodologies for physical verification and PDK development.
  15. Proactively identify and address any risks or potential roadblocks in the physical verification and PDK development process.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Physical Verification Methodologies: A Qualified Candidate For A Physical Verification & Pdk Engineer Job At Amd Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of Physical Verification Methodologies Such As Drc, Lvs, Erc, And Dfm. They Should Also Be Familiar With Industry-Standard Eda Tools And Have Experience With Cadence And Mentor Graphics Tools.

  • Proficiency In Pdk Development: Amd Seeks Candidates Who Have A Strong Background In Pdk Development. This Includes Experience With Pdk Components Such As Device Models, Layout Parameters, And Design Rules. Candidates Should Also Have Experience With Scripting Languages Such As Tcl, Perl, And Skill.

  • Experience With Advanced Nodes: As Amd Is A Leading Semiconductor Company, Experience With Advanced Nodes (16Nm, 7Nm, Etc.) Is A Must For A Physical Verification & Pdk Engineer. Candidates Should Be Familiar With The Challenges And Requirements Of These Nodes And Have Experience With Tape-Out Processes.

  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills: Physical Verification & Pdk Engineers At Amd Are Responsible For Identifying And Resolving Complex Design Issues. Therefore, Strong Problem-Solving Skills Are A Must. Candidates Should Have A Keen Eye For Detail And The Ability To Analyze And Troubleshoot Complex Design Problems.

  • Team Player: Amd Values Collaboration And Teamwork. Candidates Should Have Experience Working In Cross-Functional Teams And Be Able To Effectively Communicate And Collaborate With Different Teams Such As Design, Layout, And Process Integration. The Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced And Dynamic Environment Is Also Essential.
