- Design and develop high-quality, reliable, and cost-effective printed circuit boards for AMD's advanced semiconductor products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, PCB layout designers, and manufacturing teams to ensure the successful implementation of PCB designs.
- Utilize your expertise in PCB layout principles, design tools, and methodologies to ensure the best possible performance and manufacturability of PCBs.
- Perform thorough design reviews and identify potential issues early on to ensure timely delivery of high-quality PCB layouts.
- Continuously research and implement new techniques and technologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of PCB layout design processes.
- Develop and maintain design documentation, including schematics, layout guidelines, and design rules.
- Collaborate with suppliers to select appropriate materials and components for PCB designs.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations for PCB design and layout.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the PCB design and layout process.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in PCB design and manufacturing techniques.
- Communicate effectively with team members and project stakeholders to provide updates on the progress of PCB layout designs.
- Mentor and train junior PCB layout designers to ensure the growth and development of the team.
- Adhere to project timelines and budgets and provide regular updates on progress and potential roadblocks.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and workflows within the PCB layout team.
Bachelor's Degree In Electrical Engineering Or Related Field
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Pcb Layout Design For High-Speed Digital And/Or Analog Circuits
Proficiency In Industry Standard Pcb Layout Software (E.g. Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro)
Knowledge Of Pcb Design Standards And Guidelines, Including Thermal Management, Emi/Emc Considerations, And Signal Integrity
Familiarity With Hardware Design Tools And Practices, Such As Schematic Capture, Component Selection, And Pcb Assembly Processes
