  1. Design and develop high-quality, reliable, and cost-effective printed circuit boards for AMD's advanced semiconductor products.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, PCB layout designers, and manufacturing teams to ensure the successful implementation of PCB designs.
  3. Utilize your expertise in PCB layout principles, design tools, and methodologies to ensure the best possible performance and manufacturability of PCBs.
  4. Perform thorough design reviews and identify potential issues early on to ensure timely delivery of high-quality PCB layouts.
  5. Continuously research and implement new techniques and technologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of PCB layout design processes.
  6. Develop and maintain design documentation, including schematics, layout guidelines, and design rules.
  7. Collaborate with suppliers to select appropriate materials and components for PCB designs.
  8. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations for PCB design and layout.
  9. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the PCB design and layout process.
  10. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in PCB design and manufacturing techniques.
  11. Communicate effectively with team members and project stakeholders to provide updates on the progress of PCB layout designs.
  12. Mentor and train junior PCB layout designers to ensure the growth and development of the team.
  13. Adhere to project timelines and budgets and provide regular updates on progress and potential roadblocks.
  14. Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and workflows within the PCB layout team.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Electrical Engineering Or Related Field

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Pcb Layout Design For High-Speed Digital And/Or Analog Circuits

  • Proficiency In Industry Standard Pcb Layout Software (E.g. Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro)

  • Knowledge Of Pcb Design Standards And Guidelines, Including Thermal Management, Emi/Emc Considerations, And Signal Integrity

  • Familiarity With Hardware Design Tools And Practices, Such As Schematic Capture, Component Selection, And Pcb Assembly Processes
