  1. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of micro-architecture and RTL design principles and techniques.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement innovative solutions for next-generation microprocessor designs.
  3. Conduct thorough analysis of micro-architecture and RTL designs to identify potential improvements and optimizations.
  4. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in micro-architecture and RTL design to ensure AMD remains at the forefront of technology.
  5. Work closely with verification and validation teams to ensure design correctness and functionality.
  6. Create and maintain detailed documentation of micro-architecture and RTL designs for future reference.
  7. Identify and troubleshoot design issues, and provide timely and effective solutions.
  8. Mentor and guide junior engineers in micro-architecture and RTL design best practices.
  9. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve overall design quality.
  10. Collaborate with external partners and vendors to integrate their IPs into AMD's micro-architecture and RTL designs.
  11. Drive continuous improvement and innovation in micro-architecture and RTL design processes and methodologies.
  12. Communicate project status, risks, and issues to project stakeholders in a timely and accurate manner.
  13. Support and contribute to the overall goals and objectives of the company and the engineering team.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience With High-Speed Digital Design: A Strong Understanding Of High-Speed Digital Design Principles And Experience With Industry Standard Tools And Methodologies Is Essential For This Role.

  • Expertise In Micro-Architecture Design: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Micro-Architecture Design Concepts And Experience In Designing Complex Micro-Architectures For High-Performance Computing Systems.

  • Proficiency In Rtl Coding: A Strong Background In Rtl Coding And Experience With Verilog And Systemverilog Is Required. Experience With Low-Power Design Techniques And Knowledge Of Industry Standard Verification Methodologies Is Preferred.

  • Familiarity With Infinity Fabric Technology: Familiarity With Amd's Infinity Fabric Technology, Including Its Design Principles And Implementation, Is Highly Preferred. Experience With Other High-Speed Interconnect Technologies Such As Pcie And Nvlink Is Also Beneficial.

  • Team Player And Strong Communication Skills: The Candidate Should Be A Team Player With Excellent Communication Skills, Able To Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Effectively Communicate Complex Design Concepts And Ideas. Previous Experience Working In A Fast-Paced, Dynamic Environment Is Desirable.
