  1. Develop and maintain strong partnerships with retail partners in the consumer packaged goods industry.
  2. Drive growth and deliver results for retail partners by developing and executing strategic plans.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and achieve common goals.
  4. Utilize strong business acumen to identify opportunities for growth and develop innovative solutions.
  5. Serve as a subject matter expert on the retail CPG industry and provide insights and recommendations to internal teams and external partners.
  6. Lead negotiations and contract discussions with retail partners to drive mutually beneficial outcomes.
  7. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Amazon's retail platform and tools to effectively support and advise retail partners.
  8. Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  9. Communicate effectively and build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.
  10. Serve as a leader and mentor within the Retail CPG team, providing guidance and support to team members.
  11. Set and achieve ambitious goals and metrics to drive business growth and success.
  12. Maintain a strong customer focus and strive to constantly improve the customer experience.
  13. Identify areas for process improvement and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  14. Proactively identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise with retail partners.
  15. Represent Amazon and the Retail CPG team in a professional and positive manner at industry events and conferences.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Retail Sales And Account Management: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Success In Managing Accounts And Driving Sales In The Retail Industry, Specifically In The Consumer Packaged Goods (Cpg) Category.

  • Strong Knowledge Of The Cpg Industry: A Deep Understanding Of The Cpg Industry, Including Market Trends, Consumer Behavior, And Competitive Landscape, Is Essential For Effectively Managing And Growing Retail Accounts At Amazon.

  • Excellent Communication And Relationship-Building Skills: As A Principal Account Manager, This Role Will Require Strong Communication Skills To Effectively Negotiate And Collaborate With Retail Partners, As Well As Build And Maintain Strong Relationships.

  • Data-Driven And Analytical Mindset: The Ability To Analyze And Interpret Data To Make Informed Decisions And Develop Strategic Plans Is Crucial For Success In This Role. The Ideal Candidate Should Also Be Able To Use Data To Identify Opportunities For Growth And Optimization Within Their Accounts.

  • Leadership And Team Management Experience: As A Senior-Level Position, The Principal Account Manager Will Be Responsible For Managing A Team Of Account Managers And Driving Their Performance. Therefore, Previous Experience In Leadership And Team Management Is A Must For This Role.
