As the Category Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing our packaging supply chain, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of packaging materials for our global operations.   1. Develop and implement strategic plans for the procurement of packaging materials to support global operations.
  2. Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.
  3. Monitor market trends and conduct research to identify new packaging solutions and cost-saving opportunities.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, supply chain, and product development, to ensure packaging meets quality and cost requirements.
  5. Create and manage budgets for packaging procurement and track spend to ensure cost targets are met.
  6. Analyze data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements to drive efficiencies.
  7. Monitor inventory levels and work closely with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of packaging materials.
  8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their packaging needs and provide recommendations for improvement.
  9. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and advancements in packaging technology to inform procurement decisions.
  10. Train and mentor junior team members to ensure a high-performing and cohesive team.
  11. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
  12. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to provide updates on packaging procurement and address any issues or concerns.
  13. Continuously evaluate and optimize processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  14. Collaborate with sustainability teams to identify and implement environmentally-friendly packaging solutions.
  15. Represent the company at industry events and conferences to stay informed and network with key suppliers and industry professionals.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business, Supply Chain Management, Or A Related Field

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Category Management Or Procurement, With A Focus On Packaging

  • Strong Understanding Of Global Procurement Operations And Experience Working With International Suppliers

  • Excellent Negotiation And Contract Management Skills
