- Design, implement, and maintain Active Directory infrastructure for Ally Financial.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Active Directory performance and security issues.
- Ensure secure and efficient access to Active Directory for employees and partners.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement Active Directory solutions.
- Proactively identify and address potential issues in the Active Directory environment.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the Active Directory infrastructure to meet business needs.
- Develop and maintain documentation for Active Directory processes and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Active Directory technologies and best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and support to other team members.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Work with vendors to evaluate and implement new Active Directory tools and services.
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to Active Directory-related incidents.
- Collaborate with information security team to ensure Active Directory is compliant with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Train and mentor junior engineers on Active Directory best practices.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans for Active Directory.
Extensive Experience With Active Directory: A Principal Engineer For Active Directory At Ally Financial Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Active Directory Architecture, Design, Implementation, And Troubleshooting. They Should Have At Least 8-10 Years Of Experience Working With Active Directory In Large-Scale Enterprise Environments.
Strong Leadership Skills: As A Principal Engineer, This Role Will Involve Leading A Team Of Engineers And Collaborating With Other It Departments. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Proven Experience In Managing And Mentoring Technical Teams, As Well As The Ability To Communicate And Work Effectively With Cross-Functional Teams.
Knowledge Of Identity And Access Management (Iam) Solutions: Ally Financial Has A Complex It Environment, And The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Robust Understanding Of Iam Solutions, Including Single-Sign-On, Multi-Factor Authentication, And Identity Federation. They Should Also Have Experience With Implementing Iam Solutions In Large, Highly Regulated Organizations.
Experience With Cloud Technologies: Ally Financial Is Investing In Cloud Technologies, And The Principal Engineer Should Have Experience With Integrating Active Directory With Cloud-Based Solutions Such As Azure Ad And Office 365. Familiarity With Other Cloud Platforms Like Aws Or Google Cloud Is Also Desirable.
Strong Problem-Solving Skills: The Principal Engineer For Active Directory Will Be Responsible For Designing And Implementing Solutions To Complex Technical Challenges. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Track Record Of Solving Challenging Technical Problems And The Ability To Think Critically And Creatively To Develop Innovative Solutions.
