Advanced Degree In A Relevant Field: A Principal Data Scientist At Ally Financial Should Have At Least A Master's Degree In Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Or A Related Field. A Phd In These Fields Or A Related Field Is Preferred.
Extensive Experience In Data Analysis And Modeling: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience In Data Analysis And Modeling, Preferably In The Financial Industry. They Should Be Well-Versed In Statistical Analysis And Have A Strong Understanding Of Predictive Modeling Techniques.
Proficiency In Programming And Data Manipulation: A Strong Background In Programming Languages Such As Python, R, And Sql Is Essential For This Role. The Candidate Should Also Have Experience With Data Manipulation Tools And Techniques, Such As Data Cleaning And Data Wrangling.
Leadership And Project Management Skills: As A Principal Data Scientist, The Candidate Will Be Leading A Team Of Data Scientists And Working On Multiple Projects Simultaneously. Therefore, Strong Leadership And Project Management Skills Are A Must-Have For This Role.
