Job Description

At Allstate, we are looking for a Senior Database Architect to join our team and lead our database architecture strategy. This role requires a high level of technical proficiency, the ability to think strategically, and the capacity to create and maintain database systems. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and optimizing database architectures and a passion for problem-solving. They will also possess excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with other technical professionals. To be successful in this role, the Senior Database Architect must have the following qualifications: a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; a minimum of 5 years of experience in database architecture and design; and experience with a variety of database architectures and management systems. Responsibilities:

Lead the database architecture strategy and ensure that best practices are followed.
Develop and optimize database architectures and ensure their performance and scalability.
Utilize a variety of database architectures and management systems.
Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues.
Maintain database security and backup procedures.
Collaborate with other technical professionals to ensure the smooth functioning of the database architecture.
Stay abreast of industry trends and new technologies.
Provide technical guidance and training to other team members.
Assist in the development of project timelines and goals.
Create and maintain database documentation.
