Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and energetic Manager, Individual Underwriting to join the Allstate team and lead our Individual Underwriting efforts. This highly strategic role is paramount to our continued success and requires a collaborative, customer-focused approach. As Manager, Individual Underwriting, you will have the opportunity to drive our underwriting operations and leverage your expertise to develop and deliver innovative solutions.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of Underwriting experience, a Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or a related field, and a demonstrated track record of successful underwriting. Additionally, you will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, and an aptitude for problem solving. Having a passion for collaborating with co-workers, customers, and partners to foster relationships and create value is a must.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the Individual Underwriting operations of the Allstate team.
  2. Develop and deliver innovative solutions to drive underwriting efforts.
  3. Utilize expertise and knowledge of Risk Management to achieve successful underwriting.
  4. Manage multiple priorities and problem solve.
  5. Foster customer, partner, and co-worker relationships to create value.
  6. Maintain effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  7. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements.
  8. Analyze data and assess risk.
  9. Monitor and report on underwriting performance.
  10. Propose and implement improvements to underwriting processes.
