Job Description

Develop portions of incident response plans; monitor and takes immediate steps to detect, alert, and contain intrusions or attacks against assigned area. Coordinate required actions and communications as directed by incident response plans and direction from leadership to protect vital information and assets, ensure safety, and restore service as quickly as possible. Monitor multiple security technologies, analyzing outputs and determining the next course of action. Correlate and analyze events using skill and technology to detect IT security incidents. Follow detailed operational process and procedures to appropriately analyze, escalate, and assist in remediation of critical information security incidents. Develop and expand incident response knowledge and capability to communicate and explain action plans and topics to team members.

Job Qualifications

1-2 years of experience of one of the following: -Network operations or engineering or System administration on Unix, Linux, or Windows
1-2 years of information security related experience, in areas such as: security operations, incident analysis, incident handling
General technical skills, includes TCP/IP knowledge, networking and security product experience
Willingness to acquire in-depth knowledge of network and host security technologies and products (such as firewalls, Network IDS, scanners)
