- Conduct on-site inspections: Perform thorough inspections of damaged properties to assess the extent of the damage and determine the appropriate coverage and compensation for the customer.
- Communicate with customers: Work closely with customers to explain the claims process, answer any questions or concerns, and provide updates on the progress of their claim.
- Document and report findings: Accurately document all inspection findings, including photographs, measurements, and detailed notes, and provide comprehensive reports to the appropriate parties.
- Determine coverage and compensation: Utilize knowledge of insurance policies and company guidelines to determine coverage and compensation for the customer's claim.
- Negotiate settlements: Negotiate fair and timely settlements with customers, contractors, and other parties involved in the claim process.
- Collaborate with team members: Work closely with other adjusters, supervisors, and support staff to ensure efficient and effective handling of claims.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends: Stay informed about industry trends and changes in policies and procedures to ensure compliance and provide the best service to customers.
- Provide exceptional customer service: Demonstrate a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service, handling customer inquiries and concerns with empathy, professionalism, and care.
- Work in a fast-paced environment: Adapt to and thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, handling multiple claims simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines.
- Adhere to company standards: Follow company guidelines and standards for claims handling, including ethical and legal requirements, to protect the company's reputation and best interests.
- Continuously improve: Seek opportunities for personal and professional growth and proactively work to improve skills and knowledge related to the role.
Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Such As Insurance, Business, Or Finance.
Strong Knowledge Of Insurance Policies, Coverage, And Claims Processes.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience Working As A Property Adjuster In The Insurance Industry.
Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills, As Well As The Ability To Handle Difficult And Sensitive Situations.
Proficient In Computer Software Programs Such As Microsoft Office And Claim Management Systems.
