Weight Management Dietitian

Allina Health System is seeking an experienced and passionate Weight Management Dietitian to join our team. In this role, you will develop individualized nutrition plans and provide nutrition education services to help individuals reach their health and wellness goals. You will have the opportunity to use your nutrition expertise, problem solving, and creativity to help patients achieve their health goals. We’re looking for an individual who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping others. A Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or dietetics, a minimum of two years’ experience in weight management counseling, and Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credentials are required. Additionally, you must possess excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a keen interest in promoting healthy lifestyles.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop individualized nutrition plans to help individuals reach their health and wellness goals.
2. Provide nutrition education services to patients.
3. Employ problem solving and creativity to help patients achieve their health goals.
4. Maintain detailed records of patient progress.
5. Remain up to date on the latest nutrition research and trends.
6. Educate patients on nutrition and lifestyle choices to promote healthier habits.
7. Facilitate group sessions and workshops on nutrition topics.
8. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and psychologists.
9. Monitor patient progress and provide updates to healthcare providers.
10. Support patient and family members in understanding and managing nutrition-related conditions.
