- Assist in the operating room by setting up equipment and supplies, preparing patients for surgery, and providing support to surgical team during procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized surgical environment, including restocking supplies and disposing of waste.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and report any changes to the surgical team.
- Prepare and transport patients to and from the operating room, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare team members to provide exceptional care and address any concerns.
- Follow all safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Attend trainings and workshops to stay up-to-date on new procedures and technologies.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by surgical team or supervisor.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Surgical Support Aide Must Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent To Be Considered For The Position. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Level Of Education And Skills Necessary To Perform The Job Duties.
Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Such As A Hospital Or Medical Clinic, Is Preferred For A Surgical Support Aide Position. This Demonstrates The Candidate's Understanding Of Healthcare Practices And Procedures.
Basic Medical Knowledge: A Surgical Support Aide Should Have A Basic Understanding Of Medical Terminology, Anatomy, And Physiology. This Knowledge Is Crucial For Assisting In Surgical Procedures And Communicating With Medical Staff.
