- Monitor and maintain a safe and secure environment throughout Allina Health System facilities.
- Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to ensure the safety of staff, patients, and visitors.
- Conduct regular patrols of the facilities to identify and address any potential security threats.
- Respond quickly and appropriately to all security incidents, including but not limited to medical emergencies, disturbances, and criminal activity.
- Communicate effectively with staff, patients, and visitors to provide guidance and assistance as needed.
- Conduct thorough investigations of security incidents and provide detailed reports to management.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all security-related activities and incidents.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
- Continuously assess and improve security measures to ensure the highest level of safety for all individuals on the premises.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on security protocols and procedures.
- Monitor and respond to security alarms and CCTV systems.
- Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor while interacting with patients and their families.
- Adhere to all legal and ethical standards in carrying out job responsibilities.
- Attend and participate in all required trainings and meetings.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Security Officer At Allina Health System Should Possess A High School Diploma Or Equivalent To Ensure They Have The Basic Educational Foundation Necessary For The Job.
Security Or Law Enforcement Experience: Previous Experience In Security Or Law Enforcement Is Highly Desirable For A Security Officer Position At Allina Health System. This Experience Can Provide The Necessary Skills And Knowledge To Effectively Handle Security Situations In A Healthcare Setting.
Cpr And First Aid Certification: A Security Officer Should Be Trained In Cpr And First Aid To Be Able To Respond To Any Medical Emergencies That May Occur On The Premises Of Allina Health System.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: A Security Officer Must Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Visitors, And Staff At Allina Health System. They Must Also Be Able To Work Well In A Team And Be Able To Diffuse Potentially Volatile Situations.
Physical Fitness And Agility: Working As A Security Officer At Allina Health System May Require Standing For Long Periods, Patrolling On Foot, And Being Able To Respond Quickly To Emergencies. Therefore, Physical Fitness And Agility Are Important Qualifications For This Position.
