RN Triage

1. Assess patient needs: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' symptoms and medical history over the phone to determine the appropriate course of action.
2. Provide timely and effective guidance: Use nursing knowledge and critical thinking skills to provide accurate and timely guidance to patients regarding their health concerns and needs.
3. Monitor patient conditions: Continuously monitor and evaluate patient conditions to identify any changes or complications that may require immediate attention.
4. Collaborate with healthcare team: Communicate and collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
5. Remain calm under pressure: Demonstrate the ability to stay calm and composed in high-stress situations, such as handling urgent or emergency calls.
6. Document patient information: Accurately document all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions in electronic medical records to maintain an organized and up-to-date patient record.
7. Educate patients: Provide patients with educational resources and information to help them understand their conditions, treatment plans, and self-care instructions.
8. Adhere to protocols and standards: Follow established protocols and standards of care to ensure consistency and quality in patient care delivery.
9. Maintain confidentiality: Respect and maintain patient confidentiality and privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
10. Participate in training and development: Continuously update knowledge and skills through participation in training and development opportunities provided by the organization.
