1. Provide exceptional care to new mothers and their babies in the Mother Baby unit.
2. Utilize nursing skills and expertise to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
4. Monitor and document patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
5. Educate patients and their families on postpartum care and newborn care, including breastfeeding and infant safety.
6. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
7. Ensure patient safety and maintain infection control protocols.
8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
9. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
10. Stay current on best practices and evidence-based guidelines for maternal and newborn care.
11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
12. Provide emotional support and empathy to patients and their families during a vulnerable time.
13. Foster a collaborative and team-oriented work environment.
14. Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
