1. Provide exceptional and compassionate care to patients in the Medical Surgical unit.
2. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
3. Monitor and assess patient progress, update and communicate changes to the care team.
4. Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians.
5. Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to assess and prioritize patient needs.
6. Document patient care and treatment accurately and timely in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
7. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following infection control and safety protocols.
8. Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
9. Act as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed.
10. Stay current with advancements in medical technology, procedures, and treatments.
11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in developing and implementing evidence-based practices.
12. Adhere to all regulatory and compliance guidelines.
13. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding their health conditions and treatment plans.
