- Diagnose and treat patients with rheumatic conditions using evidence-based approaches.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
- Conduct thorough and accurate assessments of patients' medical histories, symptoms, and physical findings.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging, to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding their condition, treatment options, and self-management techniques.
- Monitor and track patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

Board Certification: The Ideal Candidate For The Rheumatologist Position At Allina Health System Should Be Board Certified In Rheumatology By The American Board Of Internal Medicine (Abim) Or Equivalent Board.
Medical Degree: A Medical Degree From An Accredited Medical School Is A Prerequisite For The Position. The Candidate Should Also Have Completed A Residency In Internal Medicine And A Fellowship In Rheumatology.
Current Medical License: The Candidate Must Possess A Valid And Unrestricted Medical License To Practice In The State Of Minnesota. They Must Also Be In Good Standing With All Regulatory Bodies.
Clinical Experience: The Successful Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Clinical Experience As A Rheumatologist, Preferably In A Primary Care Or Multispecialty Clinic Setting. Experience With Treating Common Rheumatologic Conditions Such As Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, And Lupus Is Required.
Strong Communication Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written, And Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Colleagues, And Other Healthcare Professionals. They Should Also Have A Strong Commitment To Patient Education And Be Able To Explain Complex Medical Information In An Easy-To-Understand Manner.
