  1. Provide high-quality and compassionate care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
  2. Utilize advanced critical thinking skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  3. Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
  4. Monitor and document patient progress and respond promptly to changes in their condition.
  5. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  6. Educate patients and their families on their medical conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  8. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care.
  9. Stay current on advancements and best practices in critical care nursing through continuing education and professional development opportunities.
  10. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during difficult and stressful situations.
  11. Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff by following infection control protocols and maintaining equipment and supplies.
  12. Act as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their voices and needs are heard and addressed.
  13. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and coordinated care.
  14. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  15. Promote a positive and professional work environment by fostering teamwork, open communication, and mutual respect.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution Is Required For This Position. This Educational Background Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills For Critical Care Nursing.

  • Current Rn License: A Valid And Current Registered Nurse License In The State Of Employment Is A Must-Have Qualification For This Position. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Met All The Necessary Requirements And Is Legally Allowed To Practice Nursing.

  • Minimum Of Two Years Of Critical Care Experience: Allina Health System Requires A Minimum Of Two Years Of Experience In A Critical Care Setting For This Position. This Ensures That The Candidate Has The Necessary Skills And Knowledge To Handle Critical Situations.

  • Bls And Acls Certification: The Candidate Must Hold A Valid Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Acls) Certification. These Certifications Are Essential For Providing Life-Saving Interventions In Emergency Situations.

  • Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills: As A Critical Care Nurse, Effective Communication And Critical Thinking Skills Are Crucial For Providing Quality Patient Care.
