- Develop personalized nutrition plans for patients based on their individual needs and medical conditions.
- Educate patients on healthy eating habits and provide guidance on how to make sustainable lifestyle changes.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest research and evidence-based practices in the field of nutrition to provide the best care possible to patients.
- Conduct nutritional assessments and evaluate patients' progress to adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients to build rapport and establish trust.
- Provide counseling and support to patients and their families to help them achieve their health goals.
- Coordinate with food service staff to ensure patients' dietary needs are met during their hospital stay.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans.
- Participate in departmental meetings and trainings to stay informed on organizational policies and procedures.
- Adhere to all relevant ethical and legal standards in the practice of nutrition.
- Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and growth.
- Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Experience In A Healthcare Setting.
Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition, Dietetics, Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.
Registered Dietitian (Rd) Credential From The Commission On Dietetic Registration.
Current Licensure As A Registered Dietitian In The State Of Minnesota.
Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Medical Nutrition Therapy, Including Disease-Specific Diets And Nutritional Interventions.
