Recreation Therapist

We are seeking a Recreation Therapist to join our team of dedicated professionals. The Recreation Therapist will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized recreational therapy programs for patients with disabilities and chronic illnesses.The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and a strong commitment to providing the best quality of care. We are looking for a Recreation Therapist that is creative, motivated, and has a customer-service oriented mindset. The successful applicant will have a Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Therapy or a related field, as well as at least two years of experience in a similar position. Additionally, the candidate must be certified by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC).

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement individualized recreational therapy programs for patients with disabilities and chronic illnesses.
2. Provide a high-quality customer service experience to patients.
3. Monitor patient progress and make adjustments to recreational therapy programs as needed.
4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best care for patients.
5. Maintain patient records and document patient progress.
6. Educate patients and their families on recreational therapy techniques and benefits.
7. Ensure that all recreational therapy activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and standards of practice.
8. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
9. Remain current on best practices in recreational therapy.
