- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using state-of-the-art technology to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
- Maintain a high level of technical proficiency and knowledge of current radiologic technology and techniques.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain the process to them, and address any questions or concerns they may have.
- Position patients correctly and accurately capture images according to physician orders and department protocols.
- Review and evaluate images for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as needed.
- Monitor patient condition during procedures and respond to any adverse reactions or complications.
- Accurately document patient information, procedure details, and maintain patient records according to department and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care for patients.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment and ensure infection control protocols are followed.
- Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and stay updated on industry advancements and best practices.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and maintain a patient-centered approach in all interactions.
- Support and promote a positive and collaborative work culture within the department and with other team members.
- May be required to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, based on department needs.
- Provide coverage for other radiologic technologists when needed.
Valid Arrt Certification: Allina Health System Requires That Candidates For The Radiologic Technologist Casual Position Hold A Valid Certification From The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt). This Certification Ensures That Candidates Have Met The National Standards For Quality And Safety In Radiologic Technology.
Current Bls Certification: Allina Health System Requires Candidates To Hold A Current Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification From The American Heart Association. This Certification Ensures That Candidates Are Equipped To Handle Emergency Situations That May Arise During The Course Of Their Work.
Prior Experience In A Clinical Setting: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of One Year Of Experience Working As A Radiologic Technologist In A Clinical Setting. This Experience Demonstrates A Candidate's Ability To Operate Radiologic Equipment And Provide Quality Patient Care.
