Job Description

At Allina Health System, we strive to provide quality care and excellent service to our patients. We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to perform critical life-saving duties as a member of our hospital family.The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in phlebotomy, with experience performing venipunctures and capillary collections in a hospital or clinic setting. Additionally, you should have a passion for helping people and a commitment to delivering the best possible patient care.If you are an experienced, certified phlebotomist looking to make a difference in the lives of patients, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform venipunctures and capillary collections in a hospital or clinic setting.
  2. Collect and process laboratory specimens as per hospital procedures.
  3. Ensure that all specimens are labeled and stored correctly in the laboratory.
  4. Ensure that all patient safety and infection control protocols are followed.
  5. Maintain all equipment and supplies for phlebotomy.
  6. Provide patient education and support.
  7. Complete paperwork and data entry associated with specimen collection.
  8. Follow all quality control and quality assurance procedures.
  9. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  10. Remain current on all phlebotomy certifications and practices.
