- Design and implement individualized treatment plans for pediatric patients based on their specific needs and goals.
- Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to determine the best course of treatment for each patient.
- Utilize a variety of techniques and modalities to improve mobility, strength, and overall physical functioning in pediatric patients.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and speech therapists, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Educate patients and their families on exercises and activities to continue at home to support their progress.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient progress, treatments, and outcomes.
- Stay current on the latest research and advancements in pediatric physical therapy to continuously improve practice.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to pediatric patients and their families throughout the treatment process.
- Adhere to all ethical and professional guidelines and standards set by the American Physical Therapy Association and other governing bodies.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, patients, and families to ensure a positive and collaborative treatment experience.
- Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment for patients.
- Continuously evaluate and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes for patients.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Participate in professional development activities and trainings to improve skills and knowledge in pediatric physical therapy.

Bachelor's Degree In Physical Therapy From An Accredited Program
Current State Licensure As A Physical Therapist
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Pediatric Physical Therapy
Certification In Pediatric Physical Therapy (Cpedpt) From The American Board Of Physical Therapy Specialties (Abpts)
Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Pediatric Developmental Milestones And Conditions, Such As Cerebral Palsy And Developmental Delays
