  1. Provide compassionate and high-quality care to patients in the Emergency Department.
  2. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  3. Monitor patients' vital signs, assist with procedures and treatments, and report any changes in patients' conditions to the appropriate healthcare provider.
  4. Maintain a clean and safe patient care environment.
  5. Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
  6. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
  7. Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
  9. Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
  10. Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to providing the best possible care to patients.
  11. Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold ethical standards.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Patient Care Tech In The Emergency Department At Allina Health System Should Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.

  • Certified Nursing Assistant Certification: Allina Health System Requires Candidates For The Patient Care Tech Role To Have A Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Certification. This Ensures That The Candidate Has The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Provide Basic Patient Care.

  • Basic Life Support Certification: Emergency Situations May Arise In The Emergency Department And Therefore, Allina Health System Requires Candidates To Have A Valid Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification. This Certification Demonstrates The Candidate's Ability To Perform Life-Saving Techniques In Emergency Situations.

  • Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Candidates With Previous Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting, Especially In The Emergency Department, Will Have An Advantage In The Hiring Process. This Experience Shows The Candidate's Familiarity With Medical Terminology, Procedures, And Protocols.

  • Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills: As A Patient Care Tech In The Emergency Department, The Candidate Will Be Working Closely With A Team Of Healthcare Professionals.
