  • Respond to emergency calls and provide advanced life support to patients in various settings, including homes, public areas, and healthcare facilities.
  • Assess patient conditions and provide appropriate medical interventions and treatments.
  • Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of patients and yourself.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all patient care activities.
  • Operate and maintain emergency medical equipment and vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate patient response to treatments and adjust interventions as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including EMTs, nurses, and physicians, to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulations related to patient care, safety, and privacy.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times, representing Allina Health System in a positive light.
  • Take on additional responsibilities and duties as assigned by supervisory staff.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Paramedic Certification: The Ideal Candidate For This Position Should Possess A Valid Paramedic Certification From An Accredited Program. This Ensures That They Have The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Provide Advanced Medical Care In Emergency Situations.

  • Advanced Life Support (Als) Training: As A Paramedic Advanced Trained Casual, The Individual Will Be Expected To Provide Advanced Life Support In Critical Situations. Therefore, It Is Essential For The Candidate To Have Completed Als Training And Have A Thorough Understanding Of Advanced Medical Procedures.

  • Experience In Emergency Medicine: Allina Health System Is A Fast-Paced Healthcare Environment, And The Ideal Candidate Should Have Prior Experience Working In Emergency Medicine. This Will Demonstrate Their Ability To Handle High-Stress Situations And Make Quick Decisions In A Fast-Paced Environment.

  • Strong Communication Skills: As A Paramedic, Effective Communication Is Vital For Providing Quality Patient Care. The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals.

  • Physical Fitness And Stamina: The Job Of A Paramedic Is Physically Demanding, And The Ideal Candidate Should Be Physically Fit To Perform Their Duties Effectively. They Should Also Have The Stamina To Work Long Shifts And Respond To Emergency Calls At Any Time Of The Day Or Night.
