- Conduct nuclear medicine imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients, ensuring proper dosage and safety precautions are followed.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, troubleshoot any technical issues, and report any malfunctions or needed repairs.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely interpretation and reporting of imaging results.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient procedures, including patient information, imaging results, and any adverse reactions.
- Educate patients about the imaging process, address any concerns or questions, and provide instructions for aftercare.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Stay current on advancements and changes in nuclear medicine technology, equipment, and procedures.
- Uphold the values of excellence, respect, integrity, and compassion in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards in the practice of nuclear medicine.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide exceptional patient care by demonstrating compassion, empathy, and professionalism.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
- Attend and participate in continuing education and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Adhere to the policies and procedures of Allina Health System.
Excellent Communication And Patient Care Skills.
Bachelor's Degree In Nuclear Medicine Technology Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.
Current Certification From The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt) In Nuclear Medicine.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Nuclear Medicine Technologist In A Clinical Setting.
Knowledge Of Radiation Safety Protocols And Procedures.
