Medical Dosimetrist

At Allina Health System, we are looking for a Medical Dosimetrist to join our growing team. We are seeking an individual with strong organizational and problem-solving skills who is passionate about providing the highest quality of care to our patients. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is enthusiastic about taking on new challenges and working in a fast-paced environment.The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in medical dosimetry or a related field, or equivalent experience. In addition, we require at least three years of experience in radiation oncology or medical dosimetry. The successful candidate should also possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and have a strong customer service orientation. Familiarity with radiation therapy equipment and techniques is preferred. The ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals is essential.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop radiation treatment plans and provide radiation dosimetry calculations for cancer patients.
2. Monitor and adjust dosimetry treatments to ensure accuracy and quality.
3. Ensure that radiation therapy treatments are administered in accordance with safety regulations.
4. Maintain records of patient radiation treatments.
5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best care for patients.
6. Evaluate radiation therapy equipment and techniques and provide recommendations for improvements.
7. Provide customer service to patients and families.
8. Perform quality assurance checks on radiation therapy treatments.
9. Remain current on new developments in radiation therapy.
10. Assist in the training and development of new staff members.
