- Greet and welcome patients to the clinic in a friendly and professional manner.
- Assist providers with various medical procedures and treatments.
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and properly stocked.
- Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and other important patient information.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by providers.
- Assist patients with scheduling appointments, filling out forms, and answering any questions they may have.
- Maintain accurate and organized medical records for all patients.
- Follow all safety and infection control protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
- Communicate effectively with providers, staff, and patients to ensure efficient and seamless care delivery.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients experiencing chronic pain.
- Educate patients on self-care techniques and provide resources for managing their pain.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest medical advancements and techniques related to chronic pain management.
- Assist in coordinating and scheduling referrals to other specialists or healthcare facilities.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Uphold the values and mission of the United Pain Clinic St. Paul and Allina Health System.
Completion Of An Accredited Medical Assistant Program And Certification By A Recognized Organization Such As The American Association Of Medical Assistants (Aama) Or The American Medical Technologists (Amt).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In Pain Management Or A Related Field.
Strong Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Anatomy, And Pharmacology, As Well As Proficiency In Performing Basic Clinical Procedures Such As Venipuncture, Ekgs, And Vital Signs.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Healthcare Providers, And Other Team Members.
Knowledge Of Electronic Medical Records (Emr) Systems And Experience With Documenting Patient Information Accurately And Efficiently.
