
Medical Assistant Family Practice

- Greet and welcome patients to the clinic with a warm and friendly attitude.
- Assist patients with check-in process, including verifying personal and insurance information.
- Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for their appointments.
- Take and record vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Assist physicians with medical procedures, treatments, and exams as needed.
- Administer medications and injections, following proper protocols and procedures.
- Conduct basic lab tests and perform specimen collection, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
- Assist with patient education, providing information on procedures, medications, and follow-up care as directed by physicians.
- Document patient information accurately and in a timely manner in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Adhere to all HIPAA and OSHA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve patient care and clinic processes.
- Attend training and educational sessions to stay updated on medical procedures, protocols, and technologies.
- Uphold the values and mission of Allina Health System and strive to provide compassionate care to all patients.
Certified Medical Assistant (Cma) Or Registered Medical Assistant (Rma) With A Valid Certification From An Accredited Institution.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Medical Assistant In A Family Practice Setting.
Proficient In Electronic Medical Records (Emr) Systems, Such As Epic, And Knowledgeable In Medical Coding And Insurance Billing Processes.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Healthcare Professionals, And Other Team Members.
Ability To Multitask, Prioritize, And Work In A Fast-Paced Environment While Maintaining Attention To Detail And Accuracy In Performing Clinical And Administrative Tasks.
