- Greet and welcome patients to Allina Health System with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Assist patients with check-in and registration processes, ensuring accurate and complete information is collected.
- Work alongside experienced medical assistants and healthcare professionals to learn and perform various clinical and administrative tasks.
- Perform basic medical procedures, such as taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and administering medications under the supervision of a licensed medical professional.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including exam rooms, supply areas, and medical equipment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and quality care.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to expand knowledge and skills in the medical field.

Completion Of An Accredited Medical Assistant Program: Candidates For This Position Must Have Completed A Formal Training Program In Medical Assisting From An Accredited Institution. This Ensures That They Have A Strong Foundation In Medical Terminology, Clinical Skills, And Ethical Standards.
Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: Allina Health System Requires All Medical Assistant Apprentices To Have A Current Bls Certification. This Demonstrates That The Candidate Is Able To Respond To Medical Emergencies And Provide Life-Saving Interventions If Necessary.
Strong Communication Skills: As A Medical Assistant Apprentice, The Candidate Will Be Interacting With Patients, Healthcare Providers, And Other Staff Members On A Daily Basis. Therefore, Excellent Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written, Are Essential For Ensuring Effective Communication And Patient Care.
Attention To Detail: Medical Assistants Are Responsible For Accurately Documenting Patient Information, Administering Medications, And Performing Various Clinical Tasks. Therefore, Candidates For This Position Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail To Ensure Accuracy And Patient Safety.
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: Allina Health System Provides High-Quality Care To A Large Number Of Patients Each Day.
