Medical Assistant

Welcome to Allina Health System! We are looking for a Medical Assistant to join our team in providing excellent care to our patients. In this position, you will be responsible for a variety of administrative and clinical duties to support the medical staff in our organization.We are looking for an individual who is passionate about healthcare and meeting the needs of our patients. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as the ability to work independently and in a team environment. The successful candidate should also have a strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask. Some of the qualifications that we are looking for in this role include: a Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program, a minimum of one year of experience in a medical setting, and basic knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures and office practices. Additionally, knowledge of medical software is desirable.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist medical staff in providing excellent care to patients.
2. Greet patients and provide them with excellent customer service.
3. Follow all HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality.
4. Perform administrative duties, such as scheduling appointments and organizing medical records.
5. Perform clinical duties, such as taking vital signs and preparing exam rooms.
6. Maintain a clean and safe environment in accordance with all regulatory standards.
7. Assist in preparing patient charts and medical reports.
8. Respond to inquiries from patients, family members, and other healthcare professionals.
9. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care and medical information.
10. Utilize medical software programs to enter and update patient information.
