Job Description

Allina Health System is currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Mental Health team. The successful candidate will provide care and support to patients with mental health needs in our facility. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading healthcare system and make a difference in the lives of our patients. To be successful in this role, you must have a valid LPN license in the State of Minnesota, a minimum of two years of mental health nursing experience, and a passion for providing quality mental health care. You must also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and a commitment to patient safety. Knowledge of evidence-based practice and the latest healthcare technologies is essential. Above all, you must have a sincere desire to help those with mental health needs.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide compassionate care and support to patients with mental health needs.
  2. Comply with all state and federal regulations for Licensed Practical Nurses.
  3. Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans.
  4. Monitor patient progress and document changes in health status.
  5. Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
  6. Educate patients and families on mental health issues and treatment options.
  7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
  8. Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  9. Stay up to date on evidence-based practice and the latest healthcare technologies.
  10. Participate in team meetings and trainings as needed.
