- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all linens and laundry items in the healthcare facility.
- Follow proper infection control procedures when handling and distributing linens.
- Ensure all linens are properly washed, folded, and stocked in designated areas.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of linens and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and patient care staff to ensure timely delivery and pickup of linens.
- Report any stains, damages, or quality concerns to the appropriate department.
- Operate and maintain laundry equipment, following safety protocols and reporting any malfunctions.
- Assist with sorting, folding, and distributing clean linens to assigned areas.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures for handling soiled linens and maintaining a sanitary environment.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by responding to requests and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain a positive and respectful attitude towards all team members and patients.

- Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain confidentiality of patient information.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Linen Aide At Allina Health System Should Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent To Ensure Basic Literacy And Numeracy Skills.
Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Candidates Should Have Prior Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Linen Or Laundry Department. This Demonstrates An Understanding Of Infection Control Procedures And The Ability To Handle Linens In A Healthcare Environment.
Physical Stamina And Dexterity: The Job Of A Linen Aide Requires Physical Stamina And Dexterity To Lift And Move Heavy Loads Of Linens, Operate Laundry Equipment, And Stand For Long Periods Of Time.
Attention To Detail: Linen Aides Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail To Ensure That Linens Are Properly Sorted, Laundered, And Distributed To The Correct Departments Within The Healthcare Facility.
