  1. Prepare and analyze tissue samples for diagnosis and treatment.
  2. Perform precise laboratory techniques with attention to detail.
  3. Ensure accurate results for patients by following established protocols and procedures.
  4. Maintain cleanliness and organization of laboratory equipment and work area.
  5. Communicate effectively with team members and other healthcare professionals.
  6. Collaborate with pathologists and other medical staff to ensure proper handling and processing of specimens.
  7. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
  8. Keep accurate records and document all procedures and results.
  9. Provide support to other members of the pathology team as needed.
  10. Stay updated on industry developments and advancements in histology techniques.
  11. Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  12. Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities.
  13. Assist in training and mentoring new histology technicians.
  14. Meet productivity and turnaround time standards.
  15. Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
  16. Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, and place orders as needed.
  17. Attend department meetings and training sessions.
  18. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
  19. Embrace and promote a culture of continuous improvement and patient-centered care.

Job Qualifications
  • Associate's Or Bachelor's Degree In Histotechnology, Biology, Or A Related Field.

  • Certification As A Histology Technician (Ht) Or Histotechnologist (Htl) Through The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Histology Laboratory Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Laboratory Safety Protocols And Procedures.

  • Ability To Accurately Prepare And Process Tissue Samples For Microscopic Analysis, Including Embedding, Sectioning, Staining, And Mounting.
