We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Histology Supervisor to join our team. As a Histology Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the histology laboratory, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of tissue processing and staining. We are looking for a detail-oriented and knowledgeable individual who can lead and support our team of histotechnologists.   1. Oversee all operations and activities in the histology laboratory to ensure efficient and accurate tissue processing and staining.
  2. Manage and supervise a team of histotechnologists, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work and adherence to laboratory policies and procedures.
  3. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of laboratory supplies and equipment, ensuring timely procurement and proper storage.
  4. Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
  5. Train and orient new staff members on laboratory procedures and protocols.
  6. Maintain accurate records of laboratory processes, results, and quality control measures.
  7. Collaborate with other laboratory departments and healthcare providers to ensure seamless and timely delivery of patient results.
  8. Keep up-to-date with advancements and changes in histology technology and techniques, and implement them as appropriate.
  9. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards in the laboratory.
  10. Participate in performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to histotechnologists.
  11. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication.
  12. Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers, addressing any concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner.
  13. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to strategic planning and decision-making.
  14. Assist in budget planning and management for the histology laboratory.
  15. Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, including those related to confidentiality and patient privacy.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Histology Or Related Field, With A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Supervisory Role In A Histology Laboratory Setting.

  • Ascp Certification As A Histotechnologist (Htl) Or Histotechnician (Ht) Required.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Histology Techniques, Equipment, And Procedures, As Well As Experience With Quality Control And Assurance Processes.

  • Excellent Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Manage And Mentor A Team Of Histology Technicians.

  • Experience With Electronic Medical Records (Emr) And Laboratory Information Systems (Lis), As Well As Proficiency In Microsoft Office And Other Relevant Software Programs.
