  • Provide comprehensive care to patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
  • Utilize expertise in hematology and oncology to develop individualized treatment plans for each patient.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic care for patients.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest medical advancements and incorporate new treatments and techniques into patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing them with information, support, and guidance throughout their treatment journey.
  • Work closely with support staff, including nurses, pharmacists, and social workers, to provide a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
  • Participate in tumor board meetings and other multidisciplinary discussions to discuss complex cases and develop treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough medical records and documentation for each patient.
  • Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in patient care and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall growth and success of the healthcare team.
  • Stay current with continuing education and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in hematology and oncology.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree: A Hematologist/Oncologist At Allina Health System Must Possess A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) Degree From An Accredited Medical School.

  • Board Certification: Candidates Must Be Board Certified In Hematology And/Or Medical Oncology By The American Board Of Internal Medicine (Abim) Or The American Osteopathic Board Of Internal Medicine (Aobim).

  • Residency And Fellowship Training: Applicants Should Have Completed An Accredited Residency In Internal Medicine And A Fellowship In Hematology And/Or Medical Oncology.

  • State Medical License: All Candidates Must Have A Valid And Unrestricted Medical License To Practice Medicine In The State Where The Job Is Located.

  • Experience: A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Clinical Experience In The Field Of Hematology/Oncology Is Required, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting. Additional Experience In Research And Clinical Trials Is A Plus.
