- Respond to emergency calls and provide appropriate medical care to patients in a timely and efficient manner.
- Perform initial assessments and provide necessary medical treatments in accordance with established protocols.
- Administer medications and provide advanced life support as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and other healthcare professionals to ensure proper care and treatment is delivered.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
- Continuously monitor and assess patient's condition and make necessary adjustments to treatment plan.
- Operate and maintain emergency medical equipment and supplies.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with medical advancements and protocols.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other emergency response teams and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care for patients.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families during emergency situations.
- Keep abreast of all state and federal regulations and laws related to emergency medical services.
- Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor at all times.
- Take responsibility for personal and professional development to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
- Represent Allina Health System in a positive and professional manner at all times.
Emt Certification: Applicants Must Possess A Valid Emt Certification From The National Registry Of Emergency Medical Technicians (Nremt) Or A State-Approved Emt Program.
Cpr Certification: All Candidates Must Have A Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification.
Experience: A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As An Emt In A High-Volume Emergency Setting Is Preferred.
Valid Driver's License: Candidates Must Have A Valid Driver's License And A Clean Driving Record.
Physical Ability: The Job Requires Frequent Lifting And Carrying Of Equipment And Patients, As Well As The Ability To Stand And Walk For Extended Periods Of Time, So Physical Fitness Is Essential.
