- Operate ultrasound equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures on patients to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of women's health conditions.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and gather pertinent medical history to ensure accurate and effective imaging results.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures in a safe and comfortable manner.
- Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and answering any questions or concerns they may have.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient procedures and results, adhering to all HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and nurses, to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
- Keep up-to-date with advances in technology and techniques related to women's health imaging.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all safety protocols and procedures.
- Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients during procedures, understanding the sensitive nature of women's health.
- Maintain professional and ethical standards at all times, representing Allina Health System's Women's Health Clinic in a positive light.
- Participate in continuing education and training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in the field of diagnostic sonography.
- Act as a patient advocate, ensuring the highest level of quality and care is provided to each individual.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, working closely with colleagues to provide the best possible care for patients.
- Adhere to all clinic policies and procedures, including infection control and safety protocols.
- Continuously strive to improve patient satisfaction and outcomes through open communication, empathy, and a strong commitment to excellence in women's health care.
Completion Of An Accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.
Current Certification As A Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (Rdms) In The Specialty Of Obstetrics And Gynecology (Ob/Gyn).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Performing Diagnostic Ultrasounds In A Women's Health Clinic Setting.
Knowledge Of Anatomy And Physiology Related To The Female Reproductive System.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients And Healthcare Team Members.
