Welcome to Allina Health System! We are currently seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Diagnostic Sonographer to join our team on a casual basis. As a Diagnostic Sonographer, you will play a crucial role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients by using ultrasound technology to produce images of the body's internal structures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical imaging, excellent communication skills, and a passion for providing exceptional patient care.   1. Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures on patients with accuracy and precision.
  2. Use sound waves to produce images of internal organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes.
  3. Follow established protocols and safety measures to ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members to gather necessary information and provide results.
  5. Maintain and operate ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper functioning and notifying appropriate personnel of any issues.
  6. Monitor and record patient's vital signs and other relevant information during procedures.
  7. Document procedures accurately in patient records and maintain confidentiality of all patient information.
  8. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine appropriate course of treatment based on ultrasound results.
  9. Stay up-to-date on current trends and advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques.
  10. Provide exceptional patient care by demonstrating empathy, compassion, and professionalism.
  11. Adhere to all regulatory and safety guidelines to maintain compliance with healthcare standards.
  12. Participate in training and educational opportunities to further develop skills and knowledge.
  13. Assist with scheduling and coordinating patient appointments as needed.
  14. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  15. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment by promoting teamwork and open communication.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or A Related Field From An Accredited Institution.

  • Ardms (American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography) Certification In At Least One Specialty Area (E.g. Ob/Gyn, Abdominal, Vascular).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Facility.

  • Proficiency In Operating And Troubleshooting Ultrasound Equipment, As Well As Knowledge Of Anatomy, Physiology, And Pathology Related To Ultrasound.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Healthcare Team.
