- Greet and welcome patients to the clinic in a friendly and professional manner.
- Assist patients with scheduling appointments, checking in for appointments, and answering any questions they may have.
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for appointments and procedures.
- Collect and accurately enter patient information into the electronic medical record system.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.
- Collaborate with other clinic staff to ensure a smooth and efficient patient flow.
- Handle incoming phone calls and address patient inquiries and concerns.
- Assist in resolving any insurance or billing issues that may arise.
- Maintain knowledge of clinic services, policies, and procedures to provide accurate information to patients.
- Keep accurate records of patient interactions and update patient files accordingly.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Education Requirement For A Clinic Patient Access Representative At Allina Health System Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Level Of Education And Communication Skills.
Experience In Healthcare Industry: Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Such As A Hospital Or Clinic, Is Preferred For This Role. This Experience Can Include Working As A Medical Receptionist, Medical Assistant, Or In A Customer Service Role In A Healthcare Setting.
