  1. Perform echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, and other cardiac ultrasound procedures according to established protocols and physician orders.
  2. Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper function and safety protocols are followed.
  3. Accurately document and record patient information, including medical history, vital signs, and test results.
  4. Review and analyze ultrasound images to ensure quality and accuracy, and communicate any abnormalities to the physician.
  5. Provide patient education and instructions, including preparation for procedures and post-procedure care.
  6. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans based on ultrasound findings.
  7. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control and safety standards.
  8. Stay current with advances in cardiac ultrasound technology and techniques, and participate in ongoing education and training opportunities.
  9. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  11. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues, utilizing strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  12. Adhere to departmental policies and procedures, as well as Allina Health System's mission and values.
  13. Participate in on-call rotations and work flexible hours as needed.
  14. Uphold a professional and compassionate demeanor at all times, treating patients with dignity and respect.
  15. Provide exceptional patient care and ensure patient satisfaction by addressing any concerns or questions.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or Related Field

  • Valid Certification As A Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (Rdcs) From The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms)

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Performing Cardiac Ultrasound Scans In A Clinical Setting

  • Knowledge Of Various Cardiac Imaging Techniques, Including 2D And 3D Echocardiography, Stress Testing, And Transesophageal Echocardiography

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Physicians And Other Healthcare Professionals
