- Perform comprehensive audiological evaluations to assess and diagnose hearing and balance disorders in patients of all ages.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results, patient needs, and goals.
- Provide counseling and education to patients and their families regarding hearing loss, treatment options, and communication strategies.
- Administer and interpret various hearing and balance tests, including pure tone audiometry, speech audiometry, and otoacoustic emissions.
- Fit and dispense hearing aids and assistive listening devices, ensuring proper function and patient satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to coordinate care and provide a multidisciplinary approach to patient treatment.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including assessment results, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Stay current with advancements in audiology and participate in professional development opportunities.
- Educate and train support staff on audiology procedures and protocols.
- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards related to audiology practice.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive healthcare experience.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including equipment and supplies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Comply with all safety, infection control, and privacy policies and procedures.
- Continuously evaluate and improve audiology services to meet the needs of patients and the organization.
Master's Degree In Audiology From An Accredited University
Current State License Or Eligibility For Licensure In Audiology
Certification From The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (Asha)
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Experience In Audiology
