- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients in the adult partial hospitalization and outpatient programs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patients' needs and diagnoses.
- Provide medication management and monitor the effectiveness and side effects of medications.
- Collaborate with other members of the treatment team, including therapists, nurses, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions as needed.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and interventions.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences to discuss patient care and treatment plans.
- Stay informed about current research and developments in the field of psychiatry to provide evidence-based care.
- Serve as a resource and mentor to other staff members, including residents, fellows, and medical students.
- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards related to patient care and confidentiality.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices within the department.
- Maintain licensure and continuing education requirements to ensure high-quality care.
- Demonstrate a commitment to patient satisfaction and provide excellent customer service.
- Represent Allina Health System in a professional and positive manner at all times.
Board Certification In Psychiatry: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Current Board Certification In Psychiatry From The American Board Of Psychiatry And Neurology (Abpn). This Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The Rigorous Standards Of Training And Expertise Required For The Position.
Experience In Adult Partial Hospitalization And Outpatient Psychiatry: The Candidate Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience Specifically In Providing Care For Adults In A Partial Hospitalization And Outpatient Setting. This Experience Should Include Conducting Psychiatric Evaluations, Developing Treatment Plans, And Providing Evidence-Based Interventions.
Knowledge Of Mental Health Disorders And Treatments: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Mental Health Disorders, Including But Not Limited To Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, And Schizophrenia. They Should Also Be Well-Versed In Various Treatment Modalities, Such As Medication Management, Psychotherapy, And Group Therapy.
Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills: The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Their Families, And A Multidisciplinary Treatment Team. They Should Also Be Able To Collaborate With Other Healthcare Professionals To Provide Comprehensive Care To Patients.
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: The Candidate Should Be Able To Handle A High Volume Of Patients And Work Efficiently In A Fast-Paced Environment. They Should Also Be Able To Manage Their Time Effectively And Handle Multiple Tasks Simultaneously. Additionally, The Candidate Should Be Comfortable Adapting To Changes And Be Able To Provide Quality Care Under Pressure.
