Job Description

If so, Allied Universal has the perfect opportunity for you as a Fire Life Safety Director for a commercial building. As the Fire Life Safety Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of all occupants and property within the building. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual who is ready to take on this important role.   1. Develop and implement fire safety protocols and procedures for the commercial building.
  2. Conduct regular inspections and audits of the building to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and standards.
  3. Train and educate building occupants and staff on fire safety procedures and emergency evacuation plans.
  4. Coordinate with local fire departments and emergency services to ensure timely response in case of a fire or other emergency.
  5. Maintain all fire safety equipment and systems, including fire alarms, sprinkler systems, and fire extinguishers.
  6. Conduct drills and exercises to test the effectiveness of fire safety protocols and identify areas for improvement.
  7. Investigate and report any fire safety incidents or violations and take appropriate corrective actions.
  8. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to fire safety protocols, inspections, and training.
  9. Stay updated on changes to fire safety regulations and make necessary adjustments to building protocols and procedures.
  10. Work closely with building management and other departments to ensure a coordinated and effective approach to fire safety.
  11. Lead and supervise a team of fire safety officers and ensure all staff are properly trained and equipped to handle fire safety situations.
  12. Develop and maintain relationships with external fire safety agencies and attend relevant training and conferences to stay current in the field.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience In Fire Safety And Emergency Response Procedures: A Fire Life Safety Director Should Have Experience And Knowledge In Fire Safety Protocols And Emergency Response Procedures, Including Conducting Fire Drills And Evacuations.

  • Knowledge Of Building Codes And Regulations: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Thorough Understanding Of Building Codes And Regulations Related To Fire Safety, Including Nfpa Codes And Local Fire Department Requirements.

  • Strong Communication And Leadership Skills: As A Fire Life Safety Director, Effective Communication And Leadership Skills Are Crucial For Managing And Training Other Staff Members, As Well As Coordinating With Local Fire Departments And Emergency Services.

  • Certification And Training: Most States Require Fire Life Safety Directors To Be Certified, And Many Employers Prefer Candidates With Additional Training In Areas Such As Fire Prevention, Emergency Response, And First Aid/Cpr.

  • Prior Experience In A Similar Role: While Not Always Required, Previous Experience As A Fire Life Safety Director Or In A Related Role, Such As A Fire Marshal Or Safety Manager, Is Highly Desirable For This Position. It Demonstrates A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Implementing Fire Safety Protocols And Managing Emergency Situations.
