  1. Oversee all fire and life safety operations within the commercial building.
  2. Ensure compliance with all relevant fire safety regulations and protocols.
  3. Implement and maintain emergency procedures and protocols.
  4. Conduct regular safety inspections and make recommendations for improvements.
  5. Train and educate building staff on fire safety procedures and protocols.
  6. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to fire safety.

  8. Collaborate with local fire departments and emergency services.
  9. Lead and coordinate emergency drills and exercises.
  10. Respond to and manage emergency situations in a calm and efficient manner.
  11. Communicate effectively with building management, staff, and clients regarding fire safety.
  12. Monitor and maintain fire safety equipment and systems.
  13. Investigate and report any safety incidents or violations.
  14. Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies for mitigating potential hazards.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve fire safety protocols and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Relevant Education And Training: A Fire Life Safety Director Should Have A Bachelor's Degree In Fire Science, Engineering, Or A Related Field, And Should Have Completed Relevant Training Courses In Fire Safety And Emergency Management.

  • Extensive Experience In Fire Safety: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Fire Safety Management, Particularly In Commercial Buildings. This Experience Should Include Developing And Implementing Fire Safety Plans, Conducting Fire Drills, And Overseeing Fire Safety Inspections.

  • Knowledge Of Applicable Codes And Regulations: A Fire Life Safety Director Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Local, State, And Federal Fire Safety Codes And Regulations, As Well As Building Codes And Standards. They Should Also Be Familiar With National Fire Protection Association (Nfpa) Codes And Standards.

  • Strong Leadership And Communication Skills: As A Fire Life Safety Director, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Fire Safety Professionals And Coordinating With Building Management, Local Fire Departments, And Other Stakeholders. Strong Leadership And Communication Skills Are Essential For Effectively Managing These Relationships And Ensuring The Safety Of The Building And Its Occupants.

  • Emergency Management Experience: In Addition To Fire Safety, A Fire Life Safety Director Should Have Experience In Emergency Management And Response. This Includes Creating Emergency Response Plans, Conducting Training Exercises, And Coordinating With Emergency Services During An Actual Emergency. This Experience Is Crucial For Effectively Responding To Any Emergency Situation That May Arise In A Commercial Building.
