  1. Develop and implement fire and life safety protocols and procedures for the commercial building in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  2. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with fire and life safety codes and standards.
  3. Train and educate all building occupants on fire and life safety procedures and emergency evacuation plans.
  4. Serve as the main point of contact for all fire and life safety related concerns and inquiries.
  5. Maintain and update all necessary records and documentation related to fire and life safety.
  6. Coordinate with local fire departments and emergency services to ensure timely response and effective communication in case of an emergency.
  7. Conduct drills and exercises to test the effectiveness of emergency protocols and identify areas for improvement.
  8. Manage and maintain all fire and life safety equipment and systems, such as fire alarms, sprinklers, and emergency lighting.
  9. Collaborate with building management and other relevant departments to identify and address any potential fire and life safety hazards.
  10. Stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices in fire and life safety to continuously improve the safety of the building and its occupants.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Knowledge Of Fire Safety Codes And Regulations: A Fire Life Safety Director Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Local, State, And Federal Fire Safety Codes And Regulations In Order To Ensure The Building Is Compliant And Safe For Occupants.

  • Experience In Emergency Response And Crisis Management: This Role Requires Previous Experience In Emergency Response And Crisis Management, As The Fire Life Safety Director Will Be Responsible For Coordinating And Implementing Emergency Procedures In The Event Of A Fire Or Other Emergency.

  • Strong Communication And Leadership Skills: As A Leader In Fire Safety, The Fire Life Safety Director Must Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Communicate With Building Occupants, Management, And Emergency Personnel During A Crisis.

  • Proven Track Record In Fire Prevention And Inspection: A Successful Fire Life Safety Director Should Have A Proven Track Record In Fire Prevention And Inspection, As This Role Involves Regularly Conducting Fire Safety Inspections And Implementing Fire Prevention Measures.

  • Certified Fire Safety Professional: Many Employers Will Require A Fire Life Safety Director To Be A Certified Fire Safety Professional (Cfsp) Or Have A Similar Certification, Demonstrating Their Expertise And Knowledge In Fire Safety And Emergency Management.
