Previous Experience Working With K9S: Candidates For An Explosive Detection K9 Handler Position At Allied Universal Should Have Previous Experience Working With K9S, Either As A Trainer, Handler, Or In A Military Or Law Enforcement Setting.
Certified K9 Handler: Candidates Should Be Certified As A K9 Handler Through A Recognized Training Program, Such As The National Narcotic Detector Dog Association (Nndda) Or The North American Police Work Dog Association (Napwda).
Knowledge Of Explosive Detection Techniques: A Strong Understanding Of Explosive Detection Techniques And Procedures Is Essential For This Role. Candidates Should Be Familiar With Different Types Of Explosives, How To Handle Them Safely, And How To Train And Work With A K9 To Detect Them.
Physical Fitness: This Job Can Be Physically Demanding, As It Requires Handling And Controlling A Highly Trained And Energetic K9. Candidates Should Be In Good Physical Condition And Able To Keep Up With The Demands Of The Job.
